SoftBank has begun mass production of robots with artificial intelligence
Japanese SoftBank Group announced the start of mass production of AI-based robots. The company has not yet disclosed the specific facility where production is taking place, but promises to unveil new developments in the near future.
The launch of production is part of SoftBank’s strategy in the field of so-called “physical artificial intelligence” — a direction that combines AI and robotics to create intelligent machines capable of interacting with the real world.
The company is also actively strengthening its position in the industrial robotics market. In October 2025, SoftBank agreed to acquire the robotics division of Swiss ABB for $537.5 billion. The deal is expected to close in the second half of 2026.
