Qazaqstan Venture Group and UzVC invest in Big Sky Capital
On December 5, in Tashkent, as part of the Central Asia Venture Conference, the first deal of the Qazaqstan Venture Group fund of funds was signed. The Tech editorial team exclusively reports on this event: Qazaqstan Venture Group, together with UzVC, invested in the Big Sky Capital venture fund, which is forming its second fund with a volume of $50 million.
The deal became an important step toward creating a unified venture capital market in Central Asia, opening up new opportunities for startups and attracting the attention of international investors. This is a signal that new funds ready to support startups at the A and B stages will emerge in the region.
According to QVG CEO Askar Bilisbekov, this is not just an investment agreement, but a strategic stage in the development of the regional venture ecosystem.

Askar Bilisbekov, CEO of Qazaqstan Venture Group
Today is an important event for us — we have signed a preliminary agreement for our first deal as the Qazaqstan Venture Group fund of funds. Together with UzVC, we plan to invest in Big Sky Capital, with our share of the investment amounting to up to $10 million.
This signing is important for the entire region. Instead of considering Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan separately, we need to form a single Central Asian market — it is this unified market that will be of interest to global investors.

Dilshod Hashimov, CEO of UzVC
We have signed an agreement with Big Sky Capital — this is our second foreign venture fund focused on Central Asia. Our investment amounted to $2 million. This opens up great opportunities for our youth and startups.
Big Sky Capital has officially launched the registration process for its second fund in Uzbekistan. The fund's portfolio already includes three startups from Uzbekistan, as well as five companies that have opened offices in the country. The fund is actively developing co-investment with key market players: UzVC, Aloqa Ventures, Uzcard Ventures, SQB Ventures.

Adil Nurgozhin, Managing Partner of Big Sky Capital
We are already forming a pipeline of deals and building our team in Uzbekistan. 2026 will be an interesting year. We have big plans and hopes.
The deal between QVG, UzVC, and Big Sky Capital became one of the key events of the year for all of Central Asia: for the first time, institutional investors from two countries are joining forces to create a common venture space, which creates a new attraction point for international capital, technology companies, and startups.
