The President of Uzbekistan has ordered the development of a new system for protecting copyright.
The President of Uzbekistan stated the need to strengthen copyright protection in the fields of literature, culture, and art.
During the meeting, it was noted that every product created in the fields of literature, culture, and art is the intellectual property of its author. At the same time, many creative professionals remain dissatisfied with the current level of protection of their rights.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev, Head of State of Uzbekistan
Every artistic work, musical composition, or song should generate income for its author. However, as long as copyright is not fully protected, cases of illegal use and distribution of creative works will continue.
It was also noted the rapid development of digital technologies and artificial intelligence. According to the President, creating a digital footprint for each work will ensure more reliable protection of authors' rights.
Responsible agencies have been tasked with developing specific solutions to this issue and creating a copyright protection system that meets the interests and expectations of the creative community.
