The President of Kazakhstan signed a decree on the large-scale implementation of artificial intelligence in Kazakhstan.

Kazakhstan President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev signed the Decree “On Approval of the National Strategy for Large-Scale Digitalization and Comprehensive Implementation of Artificial Intelligence Technologies, Digital Qazaqstan, through 2029.”

The document outlines the main directions for the country’s digital development in the coming years and provides for the active implementation of artificial intelligence technologies, digital solutions, and new approaches in various sectors of the economy and public administration.

Digitalization and the development of AI are becoming key factors in the country’s modernization and enhancing its competitiveness. Tokayev noted that, given the rapid pace of technological advancement, Kazakhstan needs to accelerate the adoption of innovations and build its own digital ecosystem.

The Digital Qazaqstan strategy will serve as the foundation for developing the digital economy, improving public services, and integrating AI across various industries.

Previously, the president emphasized the importance of technology development and preparing the country for a new digital era, highlighting the need to create conditions for the growth of the IT industry, support specialists, and foster innovative projects.

The implementation of the strategy is planned through 2029.
