This is a new model presented in September 2025. The smartphone features a vibrant 6.3-inch display with smooth visuals and excellent visibility even in sunlight. The body is made of matte glass and aluminum, looking premium while being lighter than previous versions.
Inside, it is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, which handles any task effortlessly: from gaming to video editing. There are two memory versions — 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage, or 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of internal storage — allowing you to store more photos and apps.
The phone's main feature is its camera. The main sensor captures images with a resolution of 200 megapixels, while the additional modules include a wide-angle lens and a telephoto lens with 5x zoom, enabling high-quality shots even from a distance. The front-facing camera is hidden under the display, so there are no notches on the screen — everything looks seamless and neat.
What's New
The Xiaomi 17 has received many new features that make it more convenient and faster. The main one is the HyperImage 3.0 smart camera. It automatically adjusts light, color, and sharpness so that photos and videos look clear and beautiful without extra settings. The updated MIUI 17 interface has become simpler and more intuitive. It includes a built-in AI assistant that can edit photos, videos, and even texts — just give a command. The smartphone charges very quickly, reaching 100% in just 19 minutes.
At the same time, the device does not overheat thanks to a new cooling system, and the sound has become louder and clearer — with support for Dolby Atmos technology. Even the vibration now feels more pleasant and precise.
Design
At first glance, it is evident that the Xiaomi 17 has inherited the style of the iPhone 17 Pro. The body is made of matte glass and aluminum, feels pleasant to the touch, and does not collect fingerprints. The smartphone has become thinner and lighter than its predecessors, yet it still looks substantial — visually indistinguishable from the Pro version.
The flat 6.3-inch display occupies almost the entire front panel, the bezels are barely noticeable, and the front camera is neatly hidden under the display — no notches or "notches." The device is protected to the IP68 standard, resisting dust, rain, and accidental drops in water. Xiaomi emphasizes that the 17th series is not just an update, but a "new level of harmony between form and functionality."
Camera and Intelligence: HyperImage 3.0
The main pride of the model is the camera system with AI processing HyperImage 3.0. The main sensor has a resolution of 200 MP, and the additional module includes a wide-angle lens and a telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom.
HyperImage 3.0 automatically analyzes the scene, lighting, and movement, adjusting color and sharpness so that photos and videos look natural and detailed — without manual settings.
Battery
Particular attention was paid to battery life at the presentation. The Xiaomi 17 is equipped with a 7000 mAh battery, and the company even compared it with the iPhone — showing that the new flagship works longer than the Apple device even with a power bank connected.
The smartphone charges instantly — reaching 100% in just 19 minutes thanks to 100-watt fast charging technology. It also supports 50-watt wireless charging, as well as reverse charging — you can charge headphones or smartwatches directly from the phone.
