Kazakhstan has become a participant in the AI Opportunity Partnership
Kazakhstan signed a joint statement with the AI Opportunity Partnership — an initiative aimed at building a reliable international partnership in the field of artificial intelligence, technological development, and economic security.
In Washington, the document was signed on behalf of the Republic of Kazakhstan by the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development of the RK, Zhaslan Madiev.
The AI Opportunity Partnership establishes a unified approach among participating countries to the development of artificial intelligence. It includes innovative regulation, support for entrepreneurs and startups, the development of R&D, attracting private investments, expanding access to computing infrastructure, and forming reliable AI ecosystems.
Special attention in the document is given to the physical foundation of artificial intelligence: critical minerals, energy, data centers, computing power, semiconductors, engineering personnel, and sustainable supply chains.
For Kazakhstan, participation in the partnership opens up additional opportunities: attracting investments in AI infrastructure, developing the processing of critical minerals, training engineering and AI personnel, launching joint research projects, and strengthening the country's role in the new technological economy.
One of the key areas of cooperation will be expanding access to advanced AI models — both open and closed. This will create additional opportunities for the development and implementation of innovative solutions based on artificial intelligence.
Joining the AI Opportunity Partnership aligns with Kazakhstan's course on developing its own AI infrastructure, technological entrepreneurship, and international cooperation in the field of critical technologies.
