Kazakhstan conducted the first launch of the Soyuz 5 rocket from the "Baikonur" complex.
The first test launch of the Soyuz 5 Sunqar rocket from the "Baikonur" complex took place at the Baikonur Cosmodrome. The launch was conducted from Pad 45 as part of flight and design tests.
During the launch, the first and second stages operated normally, and the full-scale mass model was placed on the calculated trajectory. This confirmed the readiness of the complex for operation and the development of Kazakhstan's space projects.
The "Baikonur" project involves the creation of modern launch infrastructure. As part of the project, ground facilities were upgraded, including fueling and safety control systems. A high degree of automation and compliance with international standards have been noted.
The complex includes more than 40 technical systems that ensure the complete launch cycle. According to developers, the Soyuz 5 rocket can deliver up to 17 tons of payload to low Earth orbit. It operates on kerosene and liquid oxygen.
The implementation of the project is expected to expand Kazakhstan's capabilities in the space industry, including satellite launches and infrastructure development.
