IT Park Uzbekistan held strategic negotiations in Hong Kong with HKTDC, Gameloft, and HKBN
The IT Park Uzbekistan delegation met with the leadership of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, where they presented the Enterprise Uzbekistan initiative—a platform aimed at establishing a legal environment based on English common law for technology and service companies in the country. Both sides agreed that this should facilitate the operations of international investors and businesses in Uzbekistan.
During the negotiations, the parties agreed to develop cooperation, including the participation of Hong Kong companies in ICT Week Uzbekistan, interaction within the framework of the Belt and Road Summit and InnoEX 2027, as well as joint startup support programs, business missions, and the promotion of Uzbek IT companies through the HKTDC's international network.
Additionally, IT Park Uzbekistan held meetings with representatives of Hong Kong's technology community, including the HK Fintech Association, Gobi Partners, The University of Hong Kong, The Hong Kong PropTech Association, and Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. Participants discussed cooperation in the fields of FinTech, artificial intelligence, venture capital investments, PropTech, and the commercialization of university research.
Separate negotiations took place with Gameloft, part of the Vivendi group. The mobile game developer expressed readiness to discuss the licensing of game franchises and cooperation with IT Park Uzbekistan in promoting gaming products in the CIS markets.
The delegation also met with HKBN Enterprise Solutions, where the implementation of artificial intelligence-based solutions for small and medium-sized businesses, automation of business processes, digital customer interaction, and cybersecurity technologies were discussed.
As a result of the visit, the parties confirmed their interest in expanding cooperation between the technology ecosystems of Uzbekistan, Hong Kong, mainland China, and Central Asian countries. IT Park Uzbekistan noted that the series of meetings should contribute to the export of digital solutions, attract investments, and help Uzbek companies enter Asian markets.
