IT Park Uzbekistan and Serbia are discussing joint projects and venture investments.
The Uzbekistan–Serbia Business Forum took place in Tashkent with the participation of Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Jamshid Khodjaev, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy of Serbia Adriana Mesarevic, and First Deputy General Director of IT Park Uzbekistan Jahongir Rajabov. The parties discussed cooperation in the field of IT outsourcing, launching joint projects, and attracting investments, including the creation of data centers and venture funds.
The Uzbekistan–Serbia Business Forum was held on February 20, 2026, in Tashkent as part of an official visit by the Serbian delegation. More than 80 entrepreneurs, as well as representatives of government agencies and businesses from both countries, took part in the event. The program included presentations on investment potential, official speeches, and B2B and G2B negotiations aimed at developing trade, investments, and launching joint projects.
During the forum, Jahongir Rajabov presented Uzbekistan as a developing IT hub. He noted that a digital ecosystem with favorable conditions for residents of IT Park Uzbekistan has been established in the country. They benefit from zero rates for corporate and social taxes, simplified company registration, and foreign specialists do not require work permits.
Special attention was given to cooperation models in the fields of BPO, KPO, and IT outsourcing. Serbia can serve as a front office for the European Union market, while Uzbekistan can act as a scalable back office platform with competitive costs and growing human capital potential. The possibility of investing in the construction of data centers in Karakalpakstan was also discussed, with the provision of preferential regimes and special electricity tariffs.
Additionally, an initiative was proposed to create a joint venture fund that would enable Uzbek startups to enter the European market and Serbian companies to scale up in Central Asia. Cooperation with the Serbian side opens up new opportunities for IT Park Uzbekistan to expand its export geography, attract direct investments, and strengthen Uzbekistan's position as a strategic digital platform between Europe and Central Asia.
