Patientdesk was built to handle real dental workflows, not just appointment scheduling. Real-time insurance verification and patient context understanding are what provide the key advantage.
Patientdesk AI, a startup developing AI solutions for dental clinics and backed by Y Combinator, announced raising $1 million in a Pre-Seed round. The round was led by Y Combinator and venture fund E2VC.
Patientdesk AI is developing an AI platform for front-desk operations, specifically tailored to the needs of dental practices. Unlike generic AI scheduling tools, Patientdesk covers the entire initial patient interaction process: answering incoming calls, qualifying patients, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance coverage in real time during the call, and managing payments and deposits.
To date, Patientdesk AI is already used in more than 60 dental clinics across the United States, Australia, and the United Kingdom.
The company plans to use the raised funds to expand insurance verification functionality, deepen integrations with dental practice management systems, and scale the deployment of its solution among large dental networks and DSOs.
Patientdesk AI was founded by Oncel Ozgul, San Koktas, and Emre Kaplaner—a team with experience developing AI systems for healthcare and high-throughput operational environments. The company is part of the Y Combinator W26 batch.
