The delegation of Uzbekistan participated in the Women in Tech Global Summit 2026
The annual Women in Tech 2026 Summit took place in Cape Town, South Africa, one of Africa’s largest technology hubs. This year, the event brought together over 700 participants from 60 countries, including representatives of international organizations, technology companies, the public sector, startup ecosystems, and the global Women in Tech community.
Over three days, participants discussed the future of artificial intelligence, the digital economy, education, technology diplomacy, and sustainable development. The summit focused on issues of inclusivity, leadership, digital equality, and the role of women in shaping the global innovation agenda.
Special attention was given to the development of an AI-driven economy, cybersecurity, investments, and the transformation of education. The summit program included plenary discussions, practical sessions, Oxford-style debates on AI, as well as thematic tracks dedicated to leadership, professional development, and entrepreneurship.
Women in Tech is a global community uniting over 500,000 women across 65 countries, with its headquarters in Paris. The organization operates under the patronage of the President of France and implements initiatives in the fields of education, business, digital inclusion, and international ambassadorship.
The delegation from Uzbekistan actively participated in the summit sessions and initiatives focused on youth development, international cooperation, and technology diplomacy.
Anna Ambrozevich, Director of Women in Tech Uzbekistan, who also assumed the new global role of Women in Tech Global Youth Director, represented Uzbekistan on the international stage and organized the Youth Lab—a special space for young summit delegates.

Within the framework of the Youth Lab, sessions with international experts were held, focusing on artificial intelligence, leadership, soft skills development, and the future of youth in the digital world. The global Youth Ambassadors program was also presented, aimed at developing digital competencies, fostering an international community, and unlocking the leadership potential of the new generation.
A separate part of the program was the #IamRemarkable session, dedicated to building self-confidence, self-presentation skills, and recognizing one’s own achievements.

Shavkat Karimov, founder of Uzbekistan’s largest IT community, took the stage to present the IT Community Roadshow—a large-scale project of the IT Community of Uzbekistan that covers all regions of the country. As part of this initiative, experts from leading IT companies deliver lectures and masterclasses to young professionals on how to build a career in IT, find their dream job, or launch their own startup.

Women in Tech Uzbekistan, through this project, opens up opportunities for professional development for women, introduces them to the community’s international initiatives, and helps them build educational and career paths in the IT industry.
