OpenAI has updated ChatGPT Sites — a service for creating and publishing websites and simple web applications using natural language prompts. Now, multiple people can work on a single project.
The feature is called Build Together. Users can invite participants who will be able to independently edit, save, and publish changes to the website. This allows teams to collaborate on projects together, going beyond just discussing ideas.
Additionally, the site can remain private, granting access only to specific individuals. This option is suitable for internal tools, early prototypes, and other projects that are not intended to be immediately open to a broad audience.
OpenAI also states that the time from entering a prompt to publishing the site has been reduced by approximately half. This can be particularly useful when creating and testing multiple project variants.
Another new feature allows viewing data stored in the site's database. ChatGPT can analyze the connected database, and other users with editing permissions will be able to see the results.
Furthermore, it is now possible to connect a custom domain to a site created in ChatGPT Sites.
According to OpenAI, within the first three months after the launch of ChatGPT Sites, users created over 5 million websites.
