AzerTelecom will launch internet traffic between Azerbaijan and Armenia

On June 22, the Azerbaijani operator AzerTelecom and the Armenian company Telecom Armenia signed bilateral agreements to provide international internet connectivity for Armenia through Azerbaijani territory.

AzerTelecom, a leading regional backbone operator, will expand the geography of international internet traffic supply and ensure its transit towards Armenia using its own infrastructure.

The goal of the agreements is to diversify communication routes in the region, enhance the reliability of telecommunications networks, and develop cooperation in the telecom sector between the countries.

AzerTelecom, one of the largest telecommunications companies in Azerbaijan, provides wholesale internet traffic, communication services, and digital solutions. The company is implementing the transcontinental project Digital Silk Way, which involves creating a new digital corridor between Europe and Asia. AzerTelecom is part of the Azerconnect group, which is part of the international holding NEQSOL Holding.
