Azerbaijani startup AldMD Technologies has raised $100,000 in investments
Startup AldMD Technologies became the winner of the third annual USTAAR Pitch Competition, receiving a $100,000 investment in SAFE format.
However, as the team notes, the main outcome of participation was not only the raised funds but also significant progress in product development. As part of the latest cohort, the startup conducted over 250 interviews with clinicians through the I-Corps program, received mentoring support from The Venture Mentoring Team, and held dozens of consultations with experts.
The team expressed special gratitude to Frances Freire, who coordinated communication with participants, as well as to Dr. Sukhru Rajguru, who has supported the project from day one, and to Angelo Alvarez, who played a key role in launching this journey.
The competition's jury included Ana Veiga-Milton, Brenda Bati, Saif Ishuf, Ryan Pruitt, Robert Cohen, Jim Ryan, and Tim Fox. According to the team, their feedback and support were an important contribution to the project's development.
The idea for AldMD Technologies originated from the personal experience of Vagif Kazimli, who encountered a specific problem and decided to find a solution for it. Today, he is developing the project together with Yunus Kazimli and Hamza Shah — engineers and developers with a deep understanding of the medical industry.
The company is focused on creating more effective tools for physicians and intends to continue developing the product, focusing on the real needs of the medical community.
