Azamat Karamatov has been appointed as the new CEO of IT Park Uzbekistan

Azamat Karamatov has been appointed as the new CEO of IT Park Uzbekistan. Previously, this position was held by Abdulkhad Kuchkarov.

In his role as CEO, Azat Odilovich will be responsible for strategic tasks: developing the country's IT sector, supporting the startup and venture ecosystem, managing the activities of IT Park Uzbekistan residents, increasing the export of IT services and products, and attracting international technology companies to Uzbekistan. He will also coordinate the work of IT Park Uzbekistan, develop innovative projects, and implement initiatives in the field of the digital economy.

Azamat Karamatov graduated with a bachelor's and master's degree from Tashkent University of Information Technologies, and from 2016 to 2018, he studied at the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

In his professional career, he has held various positions in the digital technology sector, including leadership roles in the Ministry of Digital Technologies of Uzbekistan, and has gained significant experience in the private sector. During this time, he has accumulated expertise in developing IT infrastructure, improving the legislative framework, implementing innovative projects, supporting startups, and attracting investments.

Before his appointment to the new position, he served as CEO of IT Park Ventures LLC, a subsidiary of IT Park Uzbekistan. Under his leadership, the fund formed one of the largest startup portfolios in the region, initiated the creation of joint venture funds with international partners, and participated in the development of programs for talent development, entrepreneurship support, helping startups enter global markets, and strengthening the innovation ecosystem.

The new leadership team will contribute to the further development of IT Park Uzbekistan's activities, increasing the export of IT services, developing the startup ecosystem, and strengthening the country's competitiveness in the global technology market.
