Armenia and the US launch a partnership in the field of AI and technological investments
Armenia signed a joint statement with the United States on cooperation in the field of information technology, placing special emphasis on the development of artificial intelligence. The document was signed by Armenia's Ambassador to the US, Narek Mkrtchyan, and US Deputy Secretary of State for Economic Affairs, Jacob Helberg.
The partnership aims to create a sustainable and innovative AI ecosystem that will support economic growth, technological development, and strengthen the economic security of both countries.
The statement highlights three key areas of cooperation. The first concerns the creation of a regulatory environment conducive to innovation, investment, and testing of AI technologies, as well as scaling such solutions in practice.
The second area is the development of future infrastructure: energy resources, supply chains for critically important materials, the semiconductor industry, as well as the training of qualified personnel for the technology sector.
The third area of cooperation is attracting private investment. The parties intend to develop venture financing, joint research, build next-generation data centers, and expand access to computing power for the development of AI projects.
