Agrobank announced the launch of AgroVentures — a $6.1 million venture fund created within the bank’s structure in accordance with Presidential Decree No. 99 dated March 13, 2026. The launch took place during ICT Week Uzbekistan 2026 — the country’s largest technology event, held September 22–25 at CAEx in Tashkent. Agrobank becomes one of the first banks in Uzbekistan to have its own structure for making venture investments.
AgroVentures plans to invest in 60–75 companies and create more than 1,000 direct and indirect jobs. The fund aims to achieve a return on invested capital of 2.5–3x, an annual internal rate of return above 25%, and execute 8–12 investment exits with a projected total value of $15–18 million.
The capital will be directed toward early-stage and growth-stage startups, direct investments in high-growth companies, Agrobank’s own digital and FinTech initiatives, as well as university research and intellectual property. Investment sizes will range from $25,000 to $500,000.
The fund’s primary industry focus areas are agtech, artificial intelligence, and machine learning, followed by fintech, as well as retail, medtech, edtech, greentech, logistics, and deep tech.
As its first program, AgroVentures, together with AI Station, is launching the Agrobank Corporate Accelerator. Over the course of a 12-week program, up to 20 startups will be selected to launch real pilot projects with Agrobank’s divisions and its small and medium business clients, supported by international masterclasses, regional workshops, weekly mentoring, and a final Demo Day.
Participation in the program is free, and the accelerator does not take equity or revenue share in the startups. The most successful teams may enter into a partnership or white-label agreement with Agrobank or receive follow-on investments from AgroVentures.
The program is open to startups from any industry that have a working MVP and initial validated results, with no requirement for legal entity registration. Applications are accepted until October 23, 2026, at accelerator.aisinnovation.com.

For decades, Agrobank has been financing farmers and entrepreneurs in Uzbekistan. With the creation of AgroVentures, we are also investing in the technologies that will shape how they operate in the future. We want the country’s best startup founders to see Agrobank as a partner, investor, and their first major client.
