Why train the brain in the age of AI: 5 neuro-gymnastics exercises
The active adoption of AI tools leads to a redistribution of cognitive load: from independent information processing to consuming ready-made answers. This creates a risk of reduced concentration and critical thinking. Perform these five simple neuro-gymnastics exercises every day — they are easy to integrate into your daily routine, but you will notice the results quickly: improved concentration, memory, coordination, and even a general sense of mental clarity.
Hand Finger Coordination

On one hand, show two fingers — the middle and index fingers. On the other hand, join the index finger with the middle finger, and the ring finger with the little finger. Then simultaneously change positions. Perform the movements alternately and rhythmically: first slowly, then gradually speeding up.
Hand Finger Switching

Cross your fingers in different combinations: on one hand, show the thumb, and on the other, the little finger. Then simultaneously switch hand positions — where the thumb was, show the little finger, and where the little finger was, show the thumb. Perform the movements rhythmically: first slowly, then gradually speeding up.
The Regulator

Right hand: forward, to the side, down — take a short pause and repeat. Then add the left hand: forward, up, to the side, down — and repeat this sequence again. After that, perform the movements simultaneously with both hands: right hand — forward, to the side, down; left hand — forward, up, to the side, down. When movements intersect, do not rush — hold a pause of 5–10 seconds to calmly make a decision and execute the movement correctly.
Finger Cross

To perform this exercise, on one hand, join the thumb with the index finger, and on the other hand, join the thumb with the little finger. Then simultaneously change finger positions: move to the next combination and return. Initially, the movements may be slow, but over time, you will perform them faster and more confidently.
Pencil Exercise

Take a pencil, place it in your palms, and secure it with your thumbs. Then begin rolling the pencil with your hands so that it alternates between being on the bottom and on top. Perform the movements first slowly, then gradually speed up.
