Y Combinator led the ranking of investors by the number of future unicorns
Dealroom published a ranking of investors who most frequently identified future unicorns at the Seed stage. Y Combinator took first place, with 140 companies from its portfolio later achieving unicorn status.
The ranking does not reflect the overall return on investment of funds or the percentage of successful deals. It considers the absolute number of companies in which investors invested at the Seed stage and which subsequently became unicorns. Therefore, the results primarily reflect investors' ability to identify promising startups at an early stage.
