Samsung will unveil new foldable smartphones on July 22: What will be shown at Galaxy Unpacked 2026

Samsung has officially announced the date of the next Galaxy Unpacked presentation — it will take place on July 22 in London. The main novelties will be new foldable smartphones, as well as other Galaxy ecosystem devices with artificial intelligence support. Here is what is known about the upcoming announcement.

When will the Samsung presentation take place

The company will hold its summer Galaxy Unpacked presentation on July 22, 2026. The event will take place in London and will be broadcast live on Samsung's official website, YouTube, and Samsung Newsroom.

The teaser is accompanied by the slogan A New Shape Unfolds, hinting at significant changes in the design of foldable smartphones.

Which foldable smartphones will Samsung show

Several foldable devices are expected to debut at Galaxy Unpacked:

— Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8
— Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra
— Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 8.

The main intrigue of the presentation will be the new version of the Fold. Samsung is preparing a device with a wider form factor that differs from the familiar design of previous generations. The company may for the first time seriously change the concept of the Fold line after several years of gradual updates.

What will change in the Galaxy Z Fold 8

Although Samsung has not yet officially disclosed specifications, leaks point to several expected changes: a wider external display, an updated hinge, a less visible crease on the screen, new Galaxy AI features, and improved battery life.

There is also discussion about the appearance of the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra version, which may receive a larger screen, a higher-capacity battery, and an improved camera.

The Galaxy Z Flip 8 will also receive updates

The new Galaxy Z Flip 8 is expected to retain the clamshell form factor but will become thinner and receive an updated processor, an improved external display, and new AI features. The smartphone may run on a new generation of the proprietary Exynos chip or a flagship Snapdragon, depending on the region.

What other devices might be presented

In addition to foldable smartphones, Samsung is expected to show:
— Galaxy Watch 9
— Galaxy Watch Ultra 2
— the first Galaxy Glasses smart glasses on the Android XR platform.

The company will likely also focus heavily on the development of Galaxy AI and new use cases for artificial intelligence within its device ecosystem.
