Which global tech giants are already collaborating with Kyrgyzstan?
Kyrgyzstan is expanding cooperation with major international technology companies. Among them are Google, Meta, Starlink, Tencent, Cursor, and Inspur, which are involved in projects in the fields of digitalization, AI, payments, and infrastructure.
Google remains one of the most prominent international technology partners of Kyrgyzstan. In 2025, government representatives met with Google leadership during a working trip to the UAE. The parties discussed further expansion of cooperation in the field of digitalization.
A separate area is education. Previously, Google and the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan signed a memorandum on cooperation regarding the transformation of school education. As part of the "Altyn Kazyk" program, the company was to support the implementation of modern educational technologies in schools across the country.
Meta
In 2026, Kyrgyzstan also began developing cooperation with Meta. This direction is particularly important against the backdrop of the growing role of social platforms, digital services, and artificial intelligence tools. For Kyrgyzstan, cooperation with Meta could become part of broader efforts to develop the digital environment and enhance user security.
US-Kyrgyzstan Business Council, DFC, University of Nevada, and American Councils
In February 2026, Kyrgyz representatives held negotiations with American companies and organizations regarding investment attraction and the launch of joint projects. Participants included the US-Kyrgyzstan Business Council, DFC, the University of Nevada in Reno, and American Councils for International Education. The parties discussed the development of infrastructure, the financial sector, education, transport, healthcare, and the implementation of modern technologies.
Starlink / SpaceX
In May 2026, the Ministry of Digital Development of Kyrgyzstan discussed with Starlink representatives the launch of satellite internet in the country. The parties agreed to establish a working group to prepare a pilot project and discussed regulatory and technical issues related to the service's operation.
Tencent
In May 2026, "Eldik Bank" signed a memorandum of understanding with Tencent, becoming the first bank in Kyrgyzstan to conclude such an agreement with the WeChat ecosystem. A key area of partnership will be the integration of QR payments between the Eldik app and WeChat Pay. This will allow users to pay for goods and services in Kyrgyzstan and China using familiar payment services. The parties are also considering the development of cross-border transfers and settlements in national currencies.
Cursor
In May 2026, the Cursor Hackathon Bishkek took place in Bishkek—an official gathering of the Cursor community dedicated to AI development and product creation using artificial intelligence. Participants worked in a build-a-thon format, creating functional solutions within one hour, after which the best teams presented their projects.
The event was open to developers, product managers, designers, founders, architects, and educators. The hackathon served as one of the examples of the development of the international AI community in Kyrgyzstan.
Inspur
In August 2025, the Ministry of Digital Development of Kyrgyzstan and the Chinese company Inspur Yunzhou Industrial Internet signed a memorandum of cooperation. The parties plan to develop data center construction, cloud technologies, artificial intelligence, and the industrial internet. Particular attention is being paid to the creation of a data center that could become a regional hub for digital infrastructure in Central Asia.
