Which foldable smartphone to choose in 2026: 10 best models

Foldable smartphones are suitable for work, content creation, gaming, and everyday tasks. Some models unfold into a small tablet, while others fold into a compact clamshell design. We’ve outlined the models worth considering in 2026 and analyzed their differences and target audiences.

Apple iPhone Duo

The first foldable smartphone from Apple, unveiled in September 2026. The device unfolds to reveal a large 7.6-inch display, while in its folded state, it features a 5.4-inch external screen. Powered by the A20 Pro chip, it supports Apple Intelligence features. The large screen is ideal for watching videos, gaming, and multitasking with multiple apps. The chassis is made of titanium, and the hinge mechanism is specifically engineered for the foldable form factor. The iPhone Duo is a good choice for existing Apple users who want to maintain their familiar ecosystem. However, the price in the US starts at $1,999, with sales beginning on October 23, 2026.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra

An option for those who need a large screen and high performance. In its unfolded state, the smartphone is well-suited for working with documents, spreadsheets, and multiple applications simultaneously. This form factor is convenient for users who frequently rely on their smartphone and wish to use a tablet less often. However, the device's price may be a significant limiting factor.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8

A model for those who want a large screen without switching to a clamshell design. When unfolded, the device is suitable for watching videos, reading, and multitasking. This smartphone is also useful for work, as the large display makes it easier to open documents and switch between applications. However, in its folded state, it remains larger than compact models, and repairing the flexible screen can be expensive. Therefore, potential buyers should evaluate how frequently they will use the inner display.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip8

Suitable for those who prioritize compactness and ease of photography. The smartphone folds in half, making it easier to carry in a small bag or pocket. In its unfolded state, it offers a 6.9-inch display, while the external screen allows users to access certain functions without fully opening the device. The 50 MP main camera is well-suited for everyday photos and videos. The main compromise is that this screen cannot replace the large displays of book-style models when working with documents and multiple applications.

Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold

A model for those who value camera quality, Android, and Google features. The 8-inch inner screen is suitable for reading, watching videos, and multitasking. The main camera system includes three modules, including a telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom. The manufacturer also promises seven years of operating system and security updates. For buyers in Kazakhstan, it is important to separately check warranty terms and the availability of official service.

HONOR Magic V6

One of the options for those who need a large screen, a thin body, and a high-capacity battery. The inner display has a diagonal of 7.95 inches, and the outer display measures 6.52 inches. The battery capacity is 6,660 mAh, and the device weighs approximately 219-224 grams, depending on the version. The smartphone is equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor and supports fast wired and wireless charging. This model is suitable for work, entertainment, and multitasking. Before purchasing, it is advisable to verify the available configurations and warranty terms in Kazakhstan.

OPPO Find N6

A foldable smartphone for those who value a large screen and camera capabilities. The inner display has a diagonal of approximately 8.1 inches, while the outer screen allows for device usage without unfolding. Depending on the version, it offers 12 or 16 GB of RAM. The main camera includes a 200 MP module, an ultra-wide-angle camera, and a telephoto lens. The 6,000 mAh battery supports fast charging with up to 80 W power. Before purchasing in Kazakhstan, it is recommended to check the compatibility of the regional version with local networks and the availability of service support.

Motorola Razr Ultra 2025

Suitable for those who prefer clamshell designs and frequently use the external screen. It is convenient for checking notifications, replying to messages, and taking selfies using the main camera. Once unfolded, the smartphone transforms into a full-fledged device for communication, video watching, and app usage. The model is also interesting for those who want to stand out with its design without opting for a large foldable phone. However, before purchasing, it is advisable to compare it with newer Razr versions and check how long the manufacturer will continue to release updates.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7

The previous model in the Fold lineup remains an interesting option for those who need a large screen but do not wish to pay extra for the latest generation. In its unfolded state, the main display diagonal is seven inches. The smartphone features a 200 MP main camera and the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy processor. It is suitable for work, gaming, and video watching.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip7

A clamshell design for those who want to save money compared to newer models while maintaining a compact form factor. The external screen allows for quick message checking and access to certain apps, while the main display is convenient for everyday tasks. This smartphone is suitable for communication, social media, and content creation. However, its multitasking capabilities are inferior to models with larger inner screens. Before purchasing, it is advisable to compare the prices of the Flip7 and Flip8, as well as check warranty terms and repair availability.
