The global esports festival will take place in November 2022.

At the Expo 2020 venue in Dubai, newcomers will have the opportunity to compete against leading professional esports players.

The DEF 2022 festival will be organized in partnership with VSPN, a global leader in comprehensive esports solutions, and will be the first international entertainment event held at the Dubai Exhibition Centre following the successful Expo 2020.

It is reported that the event will feature a top-level international esports tournament with world-renowned professional players, an immersive GameExpo convention, and the launch of a school tournament.

A concert featuring well-known artists and an industry networking event for domestic, regional, and international partners will also take place. The country's authorities aim to attract esports companies and game studios to establish bases in the city.

It is known that Chinese esports event organizers, Versus Programming Network (VSPN), who are leading providers of comprehensive esports solutions in Asia, have opened a new regional headquarters in Dubai.

For reference: VSPN was founded in 2016, with its headquarters located in Shanghai. The organization focuses its business on hosting tournaments, incubating and managing talent, and commercialization.
