The Tech Diplomacy Global Institute is an international platform developing technological diplomacy in collaboration with UNESCO. Over the past two years, Central Asian countries have significantly expanded their participation in the institute's initiatives.
One of the key events was the signing of the Samarkand Declaration on Technological Diplomacy on November 1, 2025, during the UNESCO General Conference.
The document was signed by representatives of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan.

The Samarkand Declaration enshrines four key principles:
1. Institutional development of Tech Diplomacy — appointing technology ambassadors and integrating technological diplomacy into the foreign policy systems of states.
2. Contribution to global standards — promoting digital rights, inclusion, reducing the digital divide, and environmentally responsible technology development.
3. Multilateral coordination — participation in the annual Tech Diplomacy Forum, as well as regional and thematic platforms.
4. Universal access and participation — engaging partners from the business community, civil society, and academia.
