ATF24: the ATF Bank application

We have launched a series of reviews of online banking applications. You can view the introduction with an explanation of the criteria and evaluation system here. We remind you that our reviews are based on the MArkswebb 2019 study. ATF Bank, which recently merged with Jysan, has one of the most minimalist Kazakhstani applications. It meets the minimal user requirements but does not offer extensive functionality. The demo mode provides access to bank news, interesting articles, and the ability to order a vertical card. However, further registration involves five steps, which is quite tiring. General Information and Connection - 4 The application has high performance speed, allowing payments across all categories. The design evokes school days, and the ability to submit a complaint is even endearing. Daily Banking - 4 You can open a deposit (tenge, dollars) and apply for an online loan up to 5 million tenge. Current information on exchange rates and addresses of ATMs and branches is available. Digital Office Features - 5 There is no online chat with the bank; you can only contact them via phone numbers, WhatsApp, and Skype. Feedback - 5 Special offers come as in-app messages, while additional articles (news, books) are presented as stories. Long articles can only be read on the website. Media - 5 Access to the application is via mobile phone number and password. If there are access issues, there is an option to change the password and unlock the account. Password and account recovery is done using the IIN (Individual Identification Number). Security - 6 The application has no unnecessary features: quick access to transfers, payments, and card information. This simplifies daily routines, but blocking the card urgently requires some effort. The animated assistant Barsik is aware of all operations and earned an extra point. Additional Features - 5 Based on comments in AppStore and PlayMarket, we identified the main barriers that annoy users in the application: disabling paid notifications is only possible at a branch, there are occasional issues with money transfers, and a small fee is charged for card-to-card transfers (even within ATF Bank).
