How it all started

The startup Mystory was founded by a team of entrepreneurs with experience in the field of artificial intelligence, psychology and content creation. The co-founder was my partner Nurislam Ashirmatov.

We decided to create the project because we felt a growing need for proactive mental health support. We believe that the combination of advanced AI technologies and personalized content can revolutionize the way people receive mental health care.

The idea to support children and adults with customizable books, movies, cartoons, and manga came from my own experience. We wanted to make help fun and accessible for all age groups.

We started working in June 2023. In parallel, they participated in the accelerator from Astana Hub and Google For Startups. The main team was formed at the very beginning, because we knew what we were doing and who was needed for this.

Target audience

Our product is designed for a wide audience. Primarily aimed at parents and children who are looking for personalized mental health support.
We help people first understand and then solve mental health problems through engaging content-books where everyone can be in the lead role.
The product is used by parents, educators, mental health professionals, and people who want to give their loved ones a valuable gift.

The user base is constantly growing. To expand the scope of our services, we are building partnerships with schools and mental health organizations.

Acceleration programs

We have successfully passed the Silkway Accelerator — one of the best programs in Central Asia.

Difficulties

The development of Mystory was fraught with a number of difficulties. These include improving computer vision algorithms to accurately assess mental health and creating a diverse library of customizable content. The team has overcome these challenges through constant iteration, user feedback, and strategic partnerships.

A tip for those who are at the initial stage: don't give up, look for mentors and iterate based on user feedback.

Achievements

We won in the Best AI Startup category at Astana Hub Battle. We received an investment with an estimate of $1.5 million.

Furthermore, we discovered a lot of new things and found friends with whom we share the values of life and continue our journey.

Plans

In the future, we plan to launch personalized movies, cartoons, and manga.
